Microsoft outlook has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. I can view the emails if I remain offline but once I reply to a message and want to drag and drop previous email on reply outlook stops working. I have tried safe mode and is not running in compatibility mode, disabled add ins all to no avail. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. There is a PST file and I did run the scanpst, it fixed some errors, but it is still not working.

In reply to Joydeep Sarkar's post on December 11, I recently encountered this same issue. The program was not running in compatibility mode. ScanPST did not correct the issue. Disabling all add-ins did not resolve it. Outlook would only run in safe mode, which did not allow some add-ins required for my job to work.
This resolved the problem beautifully. YMMV, but maybe it will help someone This site in other languages x.
